Blogiversary Giveaway with Banded

Boy, time flies… my Blogiversary snuck by last month and things were a little too hectic for me to even notice! To be fair though, for some reason, my little counter over on the left still says I have a couple weeks to go, and I was originally going off that. I happened to notice a few days ago that my first post was actually in the middle of August, so we’ll split the difference and call it even. Deal? Anyway, I’ve got a really fun giveaway for you to celebrate my third year blogging!

Blogiversary Giveaway with Banded

I was first introduced to Banded at Go Blog Social. There was a Banded headband in everyone’s swag bag. My roommates and I played a little swaparoo and all managed to get headbands we really liked. I wore mine the second day of the conference and discovered that it actually stayed in place–something I’ve always had trouble with when it came to this kind of headband. The reason it stays in place is because the backing is velvet, so it kind of sticks to your hair and stays in place. The other nice thing about Banded headbands is that they fit a variety of head sizes without annoyance or discomfort. Between the velvet backing and the elastic band at the back, that keeps everyone happy and the bands in place. There are three different sizes–wide, skinny, and 1″–and over 150 great designs available for under $13 each. Oh! And they have adorable sets of five no-snag hair ties available too! This is all pretty cool, right?

But wait, there’s moreBanded isn’t just about making cute headbands and hair ties. Nope! For every headband Banded sells, a child in Uganda gets three meals! The founders of Banded wanted to make a difference in the world, and wanted to do so by giving back to a cause that was important to them and locally based. Amazima Ministries, based out of Tennesee (and local to Banded) was the perfect fit. Amazima works to feed, educate, empower, and empower the orphaned, poor, and vulnerable people of the country Uganda.  It’s pretty refreshing, and nice that you can make a difference by doing something as simple as buying a headband.

Onto the Giveaway

What am I giving away, exactly? Well, when I contacted Banded and mentioned wanting to do a giveaway to celebrate my third year blogging here at Suburban Style Challenge, they were nice enough to send an awesome pack of their best-selling headbands, all of which will go to one lucky winner! The winner of the giveaway will get the Wide Magenta Ikat headband, the Wide Black Daisies headband, the Skinny Orchid Scroll Solid headband, the 1″ Navy Metallic headband, the Skinny Black Sparkle headband, and a floral print headband that appears to no longer be available (or is currently sold out). That’s six great headbands worth a total of $65.88! Here they all are…

I’m checking out the wide taupe chevron. It looks almost grey and I think it would go well with just about any solid color top.

Loving these headbands. I have a small head so I always have a hard time finding headbands that will stay in place. These look like they’d be perfect! I think that skinny black sparkle headband would be cute with an everyday outfit or a little more dressed up.
