21 Day Challenge: Day 13

Today was “neutral base with a pop of color” day.  I decided, even though it was “casual day” at work, to wear a jersey wrap dress (an old favorite from Old Navy) with black tights, black chunky knit OTK socks and brown knee high boots as my base.  My pop of color, I decided, would be a pretty (and warm) light purple infinity scarf from Forever21.  I love the softness and the texture of the scarft, and how well the purple color works with my skin and hair colors.  I tossed a denim moto jacket over all of this on my way out the door, but took it off once I got to work.  My makeup is light–just mascara–and my hair is pretty simple as well, since I’m going extra light on styling products because of my ear.

This outfit will be perfect for later, as shortly Hubs, Dog and I are leaving for family stuff up in MI.  It’s comfy enough to handle the car ride, and will allow me to get down at dirty and start helping with setting up at Mom’s for Thanksgiving.  All while looking cute and staying warm.

For taking my pics today, I decided to open our front door for more light.  At one point, I noticed the dog was sitting alternating looking at me, and looking out the door.  I managed to get it on camera with the placement of things, and I just had to include a pic of it… it just too cute!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging over the weekend, or if I’ll be doing another long post when I get back.  I hope you all have a happy, healthy, and safe holiday!

My husband calls this dress my ninja dress LOL. It’s one of my favorite pieces though, and I can practically wear it year round.
