Random Outfits: May 16: Wanna Taco ‘Bout It?

Dear Mother Nature, it appears you’re sad…

Wanna Taco ‘Bout It?

Back to wearing a sweater in the middle of spring.  But the t-shirt I wore kind of made up for it.  Kind of.  You see, it says, “Taco Eating Contest” and I got is as part of a swag bag for a charity event I attended the night before.  Pretty awesome, and I couldn’t resist wearing it the very next day, or shooting it for a random outfits post.  I opted to pair it with my trusty tribal cardigan and black coated jeans.  I wanted my feet to not hurt, so I busted out my flat “Beatle” boots, a great thrift find over the winter.  I added my Sahara Pendant and my Syd Rocks necklaces for a touch of understated bling, and that was that.  An easy, fun outfit that was pretty well suited to our lovely spring weather.

Here’s a better look at the shirt.  It still amuses me.  And to be honest, having had some little bites at the place the event was held (Schaumburg’s Tokio Pub), I bet the tacos that were eaten during the contest were delish!

And here’s a view from the top.  I’d never paired these jeans with these boots, and I kind of liked the sleek silhouette I ended up with.  Definitely something I’m going to try in fall, maybe even a little more glammed up.  The boots are Cole Haan, and originally retailed for over $200.  I paid $12.99 at Savers.  Gotta love a deal like that!

While this outfit was nice, I don’t like that I wore it in the middle of May.  It felt (and still feels) way too fall for me, and reminds me of how over being cold I am, haha.  So I don’t really have much else to say about it.
