Another Random Outfits look that read a bit more fall than spring, but the weather in these parts seemed to have been a little weirder than usual during May. It was definitely an odd month, that’s for sure! For this look, I layered black leggings under a tunic I bought from fellow blogger Brianna at Bre’s Baubles. I loved the tribal print and the colors, but had a hard time wearing it in winter because it was a static magnet. It will for sure make more appearances this fall though!
Comfy Tribal
This look was built entirely around the tribal tunic. I put the tunic on over plain black leggings and belted it with a black belt. I then added my tan boots, two great necklaces (my Stella & Dot Sahara Pendant and a really cool anatomically correct heart pendant that I got at the Hot Topic outlet in Michigan City), and a modest arm party. Because it was chilly, again, I topped it all off with my Free People jacket, which I snagged at the Gilt City Warehouse Sale. Peeking out under my hair are long earrings from H&M.
Here’s the fantastic detailing on the back of this jacket. The moment I saw it, I fell in love. It really makes the jacket unique!
And here’s a top-down view of my boots, as well as a peek at the detail on the inner zipper side of the jacket.
My arm party consisted of two great Stella & Dot bracelets, as well as a beaded bracelet that I got for a pirate Halloween costume (that managed to make its way into my regular jewelry rotation). The mix of textures and metals here is great! The silver Stella & Dot bracelet is the Renegade (and it’s available in gold and rose gold too), and the gold pave link bracelet is the Christina (which is also available in silver). I wear both quite a bit, and love the way they play off each other!
And last but not least, here’s a close up of the pattern on the tunic, as well as my two necklaces. The Sahara Pendant has proven to be a wonderful upgrade from my cheap plastic horn necklace (more pirate-jewels-turned-regular-wear), and the heart pendant (which actually opens to reveal the heart’s chambers) is just a fun, unique piece that layers great.
While I liked this look a lot, I didn’t like wearing it in May! It’s so a fall look, and it kind of bums me out that I wore it in springtime. But it was a great look that I felt comfortable in
Do you dislike wearing clothing off-season, or do you like to get the most wear out of your wardrobe?
While I’m all for versatile pieces, I think this super-frigid winter had me really wanting light, bright stuff and warm weather. I was definitely craving skirts and dresses (without leggings) at this point in time!
