May 10 proved to bring more nice weather–nice enough, at least, to allow for a sleeveless shirt and not eleventybillion layers. I still wore leggings, but was even able to bust out some high wedges without fear of slipping on some ice and breaking an ankle. Hubs and I went to a local car meetup, so I busted out the “Yes, Weekend” shirt and a rockstar attitude to match. This random outfits look was one I really dug!
This was one of those super-simple outfits that made me feel fantastic. Sometimes, that’s all you need, right? I didn’t really pile on the jewelry or wear anything overly complicated… it was just my distressed leather-look leggings, my “Yes, Weekend” shirt (by the way, while this isn’t the same, it still says the same awesome thing), and my dark grey wedge booties. I added a little sparkle on my wrists in the form of some Stella & Dot bling and my Michael Kors watch, but past that, I kept it really simple. And it rocked.
Here’s a look at my dark grey wedges. I love these Guess booties I found on Amazon back when I was thinking I’d paint the wedge a neon color (like this). They came with grey laces and red ones, and at some point, I switched to the red ones… and now I think I’ve lost both grey ones because I just don’t care about them haha. I love the red laces! I also love these with the wedge unpainted, and kind of regret not getting a second pair so that I could paint them. Oh well… at least this way I don’t have to struggle with which pair to wear, right?
And here’s a close up look at the bracelets I ended up wearing (and the hair tie that snuck in there… oops). I have my Stella & Dot Christina Link bracelet in gold paired up with the peach Amelie bracelet. Instead of wearing them on my left arm like I normally do, I opted to switch it up and put ’em on the right arm. I don’t usually do that because bracelets on my mouse arm drive me absolutely batty at work, so on a weekend, I said, “yes” to this. On my left arm, my Michael Kors rose gold watch rode solo.
This look totally worked for me on so many levels. I mean, how could it not? I had leggings on, a super-comfy but cute sleeveless tee, and shoes I love. It’s a winning look all around, I think.
Sometimes, comfy really is the way to go…
Even if you dress it up a little with some slightly impractical heels, right? Right!
