This random outfits post may look like a flashback to fall, but it’s definitely from April! The end of April brought back some cooler weather, which kind of sucked. But it gave me the opportunity to wear the booties I got at the Gilt City Warehouse Sale with a more fall-like outfit, and that made me a little exited for fall fashion (though at this point, I was definitely ready for spring to stay here).
I must admit, I’m a little obsessed with my “Yes, Weekend” shirt. I love the cut of it and how it fits me, and if it didn’t say “Yes, Weekend” on it, I’d probably wear it way more often (like, every 3 days, because I’d wash it that often). But, anyway, I wear it enough (though I don’t take pics in it every time I wear it). This time, I paired it with a pair of basic skinny jeans (I believe they’re an ankle-length pair of Lauren Conrads from Kohl’s) and my white flowy cardigan (I loved the look of it at Go Blog Social). I added my grey booties, but wanted to tie the grey in, so I wrapped a light weight floral scarf around my neck (an old Target purchase). But of course, before throwing on the scarf, I had to slip on two necklaces I adore… my Stella & Dot Rebel Pendant and the new Sahara Pendant Necklace.
I felt like the pendants weren’t quite enough bling, so I added a small, yet effective, arm party to the mix. I started with my three Stella & Dot bracelets: the Renegade, the Christina, and the Amelie. I then added a black stretch bracelet and a silver leather band that has gold accents. I might have added a watch initially, but decided against it in the end. The arm party pulled the whole look together, and made it a little less laid back.
Last but not least, here’s a close up of my new booties. I’ve only worn them a few times since getting them, but I’m really pleased with the purchase, and can’t wait to work them into fall styles. They’ll be so cute with black tights and skirts, and I think they fit really well in my wardrobe. For now, though, I think they’ll be making themselves at home on my shoe rack.
Overall, this outfit was a success, but it wasn’t anything staggeringly amazing. It was easy and comfortable, but still looked wonderfully put together, which of course I loved. It was perfect for running errands and then hanging out at home with some girl friends. Yes, weekend, indeed!
