“My Mom is the Best” Giveaway Event

"My Mom is the Best" Giveaway When Still Blonde After All These Years announced this giveaway event, I knew I had to participate, and I knew exactly who I was going to ask to sponsor this giveaway.

Before we get to that, a quick bit on my mother.

My mom’s pretty awesome.  Honestly, I didn’t always think that (hello teenage years), but as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized just how lucky I am.  My mom (and my dad) has always been, and will always be, there for me when I need her.  Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on or someone to watch the dog, she’s been there, and I’m very thankful for that.

Mom, much like my grandma (Nani, who I dearly miss), always says what’s on her mind.  She is usually a good person to go to when you need advice or have a question.  She might not always have the answer, but she will always give you her perspective, and sometimes, that’s all you need to figure things out.

She taught me the arts of bargain-hunting, cooking, and baking.  She also taught me how to be a gracious host and a polite guest, and she passed down tons of great wisdom from my Nani, including the ever-important “always wear clean underwear”.

Mom also introduced me to Ali Oesch Jewelery!  She discovered Ali’s beautiful pieces at the Farmer’s Market in New Buffalo, MI one summer, and got myself and quite a few of her friends hooked.  Mom is ever the spokes-person for things she loves, including SSC!

So it’s with confidence that I can say my mom is the best!

But I can also vouch for Ali Oesch’s mom!  Her mom often runs the booth at the New Buffalo Farmer’s Market, and does a great job helping Ali out.  She’s super sweet, always has a smile on her face, and is a pleasure to see over the summer.  It’s because of Ali’s mom (ok, ok, and my love of Ali’s jewelry) that I asked if she’d be interested in sponsoring this event.

If you’re not familiar with Ali Oesch Jewelery, you should be.

Ali Oesch is a contemporary jewelry designer, and she creates one-of-a kind pieces that are both beautiful and fashion-forward. Ali originally started her line in her hometown of South Bend, Indiana, and her hard work and determination have consistently led to her growth and success.  Her creative spirit and understanding of what women love to wear allowed Ali Oesch Jewelry, to grow and expand beyond South Bend into the Midwest.  Ali Oesch Jewelry is  carried at boutiques and specialty shops throughout the US, with pieces spotted on news anchors, celebrities, and of course fashionistas everywhere.

Each piece in the Ali Oesch Jewelry collection is an original design of Ali’s.

Ali is constantly refining her skills, studying new techniques, and trying out innovative materials to make sure her work is always fresh and on trend.  She uses pearls, gemstones, metals, crystals, and even ribbon when she designs, and each piece can be authenticated with her signature “Ali” logo charm, or customized to fit the wearer’s desires.

Boutiques and customers alike fall in love with her collection, often saying it’s what they turn to for everyday wear. If you’re not near a boutique, you can order directly thru Ali’s website www.alioesch.com, or contact her through Facebook to place an order.  Ali’s website also lists a bunch of retailers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin that sell Ali Oesch Jewelry.

Win your very own piece of Ali Oesch Jewelry!

Or better yet, enter to win a piece of beautiful jewelry to give your mom for Mother’s Day!  Either way, you can win this gorgeous Ali Oesch necklace, hand-picked just for you by Ali herself.  It’s the stunning Arabesque Necklace, valued at $32, and it can be yours (or your mom’s, if you choose) if you win!  Look at it… so simple and beautiful, and reminiscent of the embrace a daughter shares with her mother.  Perfect!

My Mom is the best because she takes care of everyone else (she is a nurse) even when she is sick.

My mom is my best friend, although it wasn’t always that way. I was rotten as a teenager. Even through it all she may not have liked some of my behavior but she was patient and loved my just the same.

Mine is too. Family is very important to her, and without my mom and my aunt we wouldn’t be in touch with relatives all over the world.

My mom was and still is the best. You never know how much you love someone until they are gone. She was my best friend, confidant, my support and alwys smart and knowledgable. She was the best grandmother to my kids and best mother in law to my hubby. SHe never butted in but was always there when we just needed to talk or cry. I miss her every day.
