Day 12 of the 21 Day Challenge brought dressing up jeans and a tee.
When I did this the first time, I considered it easy. I suppose compared to some of the other tasks, it is. Last time I did this, day 12 fell on a regular work day, so it was a no-brainer really.
However, this time, day 12 fell on Easter Sunday, and my husband’s family was doing brunch. So I really did have to dress up jeans and a tee. I opted to go with black moto-style skinny jeans and my fashion drawing tee. On top, I wore a tan cardigan that was my grandma’s. I wore my Christian Siriano for Payless shoes and added a triple strand of pearls, a three-strand silver necklace, and a single gold chain.
Check out the look.
Trixie wanted to pose with me… didn’t she do a good job?
I liked this look, and didn’t feel under-dressed or anything at all, which is always nice. I was worried that, in jeans, I was going to be the odd girl out, but there were plenty of others dressed as I was, or even dressed down more, so I was in the clear. Overall, I liked this outfit, but it did feel a little plain to me for some reason. It’s not, but… maybe there just needed to be a pop of color or something? I don’t know.
So that’s day 12 of this round of the 21 Day Challenge.
What do you think? Do you often wear jeans and t-shirts? If so, do you dress them up, or down? If not, why? Share your thoughts in the comments.
