As a continuance of my Dup-A-Look Challenge, here’s what I wore on Monday, September 24. This was a day that planning in advanced worked in my favor like crazy–I was really tired in the morning and wanted nothing but to stay in bed and sleep. I knew I wanted my hair to be tousled for this look, and I’d done some curly stuff to it Sunday, so I figured a few minutes with the curling iron and I’d be good. Thankfully, I was (hooray for being past the horrid bed-head stage, finally!).
To duplicate this great look by They Call Me Redhead was pretty easy. I wore my 90’s floral wrap skirt (thrifted) with on oversized GAP sweatshirt (also thrifted) over a grey tee. I wore cocoa tights, with black OTK socks. On top of the black socks, I added grey scrunched knee socks, and finished it all off with my brown crochet ankle booties (from Forever21).
This outfit was delightfully comfortable–I didn’t even change into comfy clothes when I got home–and actually pretty warm. I should have worn different OTK socks though, because these ones kept slipping down, which bugged me. But, while it was comfortable, I’m not sure this outfit was really my style. I felt a little “not me” in it. But I liked the skirt with the oversized top, and may give that a try with a chunky knit sweater as we get deeper into fall.
