I feel like things are starting to get back to normal, but that’s only because I’ve ditched my husband (and painting) twice this week and went to the gym, hung out with a friend, and started a couple DIY projects I’ve been dying to get to. That means that I was able to actually spend some time browsing through my Dup-A-Look board on Pinterest and plan out an outfit. The challenge here? All the stuff I’m totally wanting to wear right now is either in the dirty laundry pile, in the “must make” pile, or not work-appropriate. Bummer. But then I came across this easy outfit and :gasp: everything I needed for it was clean! Yay!
After double-checking the original post at One of Each, I confirmed that I had everything. Black skinnies? Check. Black tank? Check. Denim vest? Check! Grey cardi? Er, well, the cardigan I originally wanted to wear was nowhere to be found, so I had to settle for my grey and white striped one, but it works. Black booties? Check!
I couldn’t resist chopping off my head too. I’d have tried to do a better match for the pose and stuff, but literally had to shoot and run–my camera battery is dangerously close to being dead and I left my charger at home.
All in all, this is a pretty successful dup, and a really easy outfit to wear, which was great for putting it together the night before, because I knew it’d work and not having to scramble this morning to figure something else out. I really like the open cardi under the vest, and think it’s perfect for spring. You may be seeing this layering effect over dresses and skirts soon!
